| Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. | Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. |

| No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. Are ye not much better than they? |
| But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. | But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. |
| Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. | Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. |

| Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? | And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? |

| Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
| Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. | Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. |
