Must (3/4)

  • You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
  • Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge,
But he who hates correction is stupid.
  • Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
  • You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
  • Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
  • You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.
  • Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
  • You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary:
    I am the Lord.
  • You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
  • But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
  • But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
  • Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and perform them: I am the Lord.
  • Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
  • Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
  • Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
  • But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
  • ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
  • But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
  • And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.
  • Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
  • Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
  • So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
  • Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Bible verse of the day

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
