Name of Jesus (2/4)

  • Not to us, Lord, not to us,
    But to Your name give glory,
    Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.
  • But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
  • And on that day you will say,
    “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name.
    Make known His deeds among the peoples;
    Make them remember that His name is exalted.”
  • For You are my rock and my fortress;
    For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • I will exalt You, my God, the King,
    And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
  • Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
  • I will rejoice and be jubilant in You;
    I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
  • The one who overcomes will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
  • Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • All the prophets testify of Him, that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.
  • And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
  • Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord,
    We have waited for You eagerly;
    Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.
  • Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
  • Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
  • But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
  • And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • And the Lord will be King over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.
  • Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.
  • For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
  • Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said,
    “Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
    And naked I shall return there.
    The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
    Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
  • Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name;
    Make His deeds known among the peoples.
  • And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
    For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.
  • Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

Bible verse of the day

And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
