| Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” | Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? |
| For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. | For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. |

| But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. | But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. |
| And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever. | And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. |
| No one who denies the Son has the Father; everyone who confesses the Son has the Father also. | Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. |
| I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. | I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. |
| So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. | If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. |
| I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. | These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. |
| Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward. | Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. |
| Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.” | Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. |
| No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. | No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. |
| I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one. | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
| If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. | If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. |
| And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. | And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. |
| And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. | And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. |
| Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” | Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. |
| When Jesus had received the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. | When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. |
| Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.” | Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. |
| The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also. | And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
| Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |
| No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known. | No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. |
| For whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith. | For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. |
| The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. | The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. |
| We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. | Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. |
| And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. | And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. |
