Victory comes from you, O Lord. May you bless your people. | Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah. |
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. | Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. |
Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. | He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. |
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. | For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. |
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. | Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. |
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken! | If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. |

Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. | Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. |
Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. | Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. |
Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. | Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. |

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. | In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. |
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” | And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. |
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. | It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. |
Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. | Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. |
Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. | And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. |
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. | Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. |
Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. | Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. |
But when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost. They were all terrified when they saw him. But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!” | But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. |
