Bible Verses about 'On'

  • Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
  • “As I began to speak,” Peter continued, “the Holy Spirit fell on them, just as he fell on us at the beginning.”
  • The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth.
  • So after more fasting and prayer, the men laid their hands on them and sent them on their way.
  • But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love.
  • Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.
  • Can he walk on hot coals
    and not blister his feet?
  • Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
  • But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
  • For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
  • And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.
  • You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
  • Let my teaching fall on you like rain;
let my speech settle like dew.
Let my words fall like rain on tender grass,
like gentle showers on young plants.
  • As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.
  • Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
  • What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.
  • And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.
  • Until at last the Spirit is poured out
    on us from heaven.
Then the wilderness will become a fertile field,
and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops.
  • A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.
The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
  • And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.”
  • Whom have I in heaven but you?
I desire you more than anything on earth.
  • Rejoice, O people of Zion!
Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!
Look, your king is coming to you.
    He is righteous and victorious,
yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—
    riding on a donkey’s colt.
  • The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?
  • They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!”
  • If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
