Others (2/3)

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled. But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.
