Power of prayer (2/4)

  • With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints.
  • He gives strength to the weary,
    And to the one who lacks might He increases power.
  • Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
    When it is in your power to do it.
  • So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He listened to our pleading.
  • The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; for that reason also the holy Child will be called the Son of God.”
  • This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of armies.
  • The Almighty—we cannot find Him;
    He is exalted in power
    And He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness.
  • For His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
  • In the morning, Lord, You will hear my voice;
    In the morning I will present my prayer to You and be on the watch.
  • Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you.
  • Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
  • But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.
  • Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.
  • Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
  • For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
  • Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You.
  • Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
  • The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
    And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
    In the gale and the storm is His way,
    And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.
  • And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
  • To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
    For You have given me wisdom and power;
    Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
    For You have made known to us the king’s matter.
  • That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
  • Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
  • For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over every ruler and authority.

And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
