I will praise you as long as I live,
lifting up my hands to you in prayer. - Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. - For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
- For I cried out to him for help,
praising him as I spoke. - I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
- But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
- One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
