- Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace;
When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive. - Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
And give ear to my cry;
Do not be silent at my tears;
For I am a stranger with You,
A sojourner, as all my fathers were. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God. - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
