For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret, but worldly grief produces death. | For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. |

Because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. | Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. |
The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. | A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. |
For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true. | For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. |
Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment. | But godliness with contentment is great gain. |
So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. | Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. |
You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us. | Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. |
So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. | So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. |
Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. | Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. |
God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.” | And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. |
Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. |
