Psalm 16:1 (2/9)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom should I be afraid? The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Even if an army encamps against me, my heart will not succumb to fear; even if war breaks out against me, I will not have my trust shaken.Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
There is only one thing I ask of the Lord, just one thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord and gaze on his temple. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Place your hope in the Lord: be strong and courageous in your heart, and place your hope in the Lord.Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart places its trust in him. He has helped me, and I exult; then with my song I praise him.The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
May the Lord grant strength to his people. May the Lord bless his people with peace. The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
For his anger lasts for only a moment, while his goodwill endures for a lifetime. Weeping may last throughout the night, but at daybreak there is rejoicing. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
You are truly my rock and my fortress; for the sake of your name, lead and guide me.For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
My life is in your hands; deliver me from the power of my enemies, from the clutches of those who pursue me.My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Let your face shine upon your servant; save me in your kindness.Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.
How great is your goodness, O Lord, which you have stored up for those who fear you and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you, in the presence of all the people.Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord.Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven, whose sin is erased.Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
As long as I remained silent, my body wasted away as the result of my groaning throughout the day. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you, and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt. I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,” and you removed the guilt of my sin. SelahI acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
You are a place of refuge for me; you preserve me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. SelahThou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and keep my eyes upon you.I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
For the word of the Lord is true, and he is faithful in everything he does. For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is filled with his kindness. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness.Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy.
O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will be continually on my lips.I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
