| The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. | The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. |
| Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies. | Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. |
| Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. | Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. |
| Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry. | The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry. |
| Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. | But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth. |
| The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. | The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. |
| Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. | The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. |
| Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. | The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. |
| Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. | Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. |
| Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. | Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. |
| Commit your way to Yahweh.
