- I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches. - I have chosen the faithful way;
I have placed Your judgments before me. - Incline my heart to Your testimonies,
And not to dishonest gain. - And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts. - I hurried and did not delay
To keep Your commandments. - I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have revived me. - Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path. - I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart. - You are my hiding place and my shield;
I wait for Your word. - The unfolding of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. - Establish my footsteps in Your word,
And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. - The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments is everlasting. - Those who love Your Law have great peace,
And nothing causes them to stumble. - Rescue my soul, Lord, from lying lips,
From a deceitful tongue. - I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who watches over you will not slumber. - The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time and forever. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - Unless the Lord builds a house,
They who build it labor in vain;
Unless the Lord guards a city,
The watchman stays awake in vain. - Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
Who walks in His ways. - Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the sound of my pleadings. - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And I wait for His word. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brothers to live together in unity! - The Lord will accomplish what concerns me;
Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting;
Do not abandon the works of Your hands. - Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I get up;
You understand my thought from far away.
