- Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but whoever hates correction is stupid. - A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. - Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life,
but whoever ignores correction leads others astray. - All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in. - The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
