Right (2/4)

Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. It is better to have little and be righteous than to acquire great riches with injustice.
If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, he instructs sinners in his ways. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them the path to follow.
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.He is a rock, his deeds are perfect, and all of his ways are just. He is a God of truth who does no wrong; he is just and upright.
For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. For light produces all goodness and righteousness and truth.
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them.
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Then Peter addressed them: “I now understand how true it is that God has no favorites, but that in every nation all those who fear God and do what is right are acceptable to him.”
He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. The one who leads a blameless life and does what is right, who speaks the truth from the heart and does not slander anyone, who does not harm a friend and does not scorn a neighbor.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. Then you will understand equity and justice as well as righteousness—every good path.
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit. Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!A man is joyful when he utters apt answers, and even more satisfying is a word in season.
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.Grant justice to the weak and the orphan; defend the rights of the lowly and the poor.
Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Train a child in the way he should go, and he will not deviate from it, even in old age.
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am wonderfully made; awesome are your works, as I know very well.
Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven. For all of his works are right, and all of his ways are just. Also, he is able to humble all those who follow the path of pride.
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. To anyone who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself overcame and sat with my Father on his throne.
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.“All things are lawful,” you may say—but not all things are beneficial. All things may be lawful—but not all things are constructive.
All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
