He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.And learn to do good. Pursue justice and rescue the oppressed; listen to the plea of the orphan and defend the widow.
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.Brethren, if anyone is detected committing a transgression, you who are spiritual must set him right in a spirit of gentleness. Meanwhile, you should take care so that you yourselves are not tempted.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise.
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.Make your ways known to me, O Lord; teach me your paths.
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing, but a righteous life brings delivery from death.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches will be of no avail on the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of justice, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.What right do you have to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? The master will determine whether that servant will stand or fall. But the servant will be upheld, for the Lord has the power to enable him to stand.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren.
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts.
We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.

With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.My soul longs for you throughout the night, and my spirit within me seeks your presence. For when your judgments are revealed to the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn to practice justice.
