Right (3/4)

He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor.Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
“All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions.
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.“All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. And even though “I am allowed to do anything,” I must not become a slave to anything.“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest.Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right. My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction.
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.
