- For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
- For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
- For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
- Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’
- Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
- But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
- This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
- For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.” - But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
- But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him” - Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
- For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
- “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him?” And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.Next verse!With image
