| The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe. | The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. |
| A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |

| A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. | A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. |
| He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. | He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. |
| In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety. | I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. |
| Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. | Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. |
| He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. | He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |

| He reveals the deep and secret things. He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. | He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. |
| One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret. | A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. |

| He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. | Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
