- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
- But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined. - Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.Next verse! With image
