- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. - For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
- But he knoweth the way that I take:
when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot hath held his steps,
his way have I kept, and not declined. - Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip.
He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.Next verse! With image
