| Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. | By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. |

| Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! | Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. |

| So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. | Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. | Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. |
| Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.” | Jesus answered, “Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and Spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom.” |
| Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. | For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don’t have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. |
| In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. | One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind. |
| To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper. | He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good. |
