For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
