Bible Verses about 'Trouble'

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.God is our refuge and our strength, a well-proved help in times of trouble.
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of distress.
The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. You are a place of refuge for me; you preserve me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.
Better to have little, with fear for the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. It is better to have a little and fear the Lord than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish.
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.Be joyful in your hope. Be patient in times of affliction. Persevere in prayer.
Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but he who mingles with fools will suffer harm.
If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. And if one should fall, his companion will help him up. How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls and has no one to assist him to his feet.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?Who then can separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or the sword?
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. But I will sing of your strength; when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness. For you have been my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. In my anguish I cried out; the Lord heard my plea, and I was saved from all my troubles.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.A perverse man sows strife, and a tale-bearer destroys close friendships.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.I have told you this so that in me you may be in peace. In the world you will endure suffering. But take courage! I have overcome the world.
The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth, and our toil adds nothing to it.
Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.Do not let your hearts be troubled. You place your trust in God. Trust also in me.
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.”Remember your Creator in the days of your youth before the bad times come and the years draw near when you will say, “I take no pleasure in them”.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. The misfortunes of the righteous man are many, but the Lord delivers him, from all of them.
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled; be not afraid.
Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is this: to come to the aid of orphans and widows in their hardships and to keep oneself untarnished by the world.
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! Our temporary light afflictions are preparing for us an incomparable weight of eternal glory.
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!Although it was our afflictions that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, we thought of him as stricken, as struck down by God and afflicted.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. For this reason, I rejoice when I endure weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and distress for the sake of Christ. For it is when I am weak that I am strong.
The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous call out, and the Lord hears them; he rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord remains close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirit is crushed.

So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal.

But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.
