True love (2/4)

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.Hatred stirs up strife, but love overlooks all offenses.
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.Beloved, since God loved us so much, we should love one another.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you.
Let all your things be done with charity.Everything that you do should be done in love.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.Above all, maintain the fervor of your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.However, whoever lives by the truth comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been done in God.
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.Those who love your law have great peace; they encounter no stumbling blocks.
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.You might say to yourself, “How can we know that the Lord did not speak the message?” If what the prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord is not true and it does not happen, then the message was not proclaimed by the Lord. The prophet has spoken presumptuously, you should not fear him.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.No one can have greater love than to lay down his life for his friends.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.I reprove and discipline all those whom I love. Therefore, be sincere in your desire to repent.
Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.You are all-beautiful, my love, without the slightest blemish.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples: if you love one another.
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.Dear children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.Love one another with genuine affection. Esteem others more highly than yourself.
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.With all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in a spirit of love.
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.For from the beginning you have heard the message that we should love one another.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.Jesus answered him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.”
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.

And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And ‘to love him with all your heart, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself,’ is worth more than any burnt offerings and sacrifices.
