True love (2/4)

Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil.Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Those who love your law have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble.Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?” When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
You are all beautiful, my love. There is no spot in you.Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another.Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love.With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
And to love him with all the heart, with all the understanding, all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
