| However, if the wicked renounce all of the sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is right and just, they shall surely live; they shall not die. | But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. | Those who place their hope in the Lord will regain their strength. They will soar as with eagles’ wings, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not become faint. | But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. |
| Nevertheless, do not rejoice in the knowledge that the spirits are subject to you. Rejoice rather that your names are inscribed in heaven. | Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. |
| The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith. | Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith. |
| The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; those who are guided by it will grow in understanding. His praise will last forever. | The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! |
| Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with a joy that is indescribable and glorious. | Shun evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. | Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it. |
| All those who have sinned outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law. | For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. |
| And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good. | Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul, to keep Yahweh’s commandments and statutes, which I command you today for your good? |
| I ask that from the riches of his glory he may grant through his Spirit that you be strengthened with power in your inner being and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. | That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love. |
| The reward of humility and fear of the Lord is wealth, honor, and life. | The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life. |

| And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. | When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. |
