- The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
- That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God. - Who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting.
- So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
- Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
- God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble. - Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men! - For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom,
And before honor is humility. So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Next verse!With image
