Arise, O Lord! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless!Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble.
The grapevines have dried up, and the fig trees have withered. The pomegranate trees, palm trees, and apple trees— all the fruit trees—have dried up. And the people’s joy has dried up with them.The vine has dried up, And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate tree, The palm tree also, And the apple tree— All the trees of the field are withered; Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men.
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
The Lord makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
You light a lamp for me. The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.For You will light my lamp; The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly.The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord raises those who are bowed down; The Lord loves the righteous.
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
