- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. - Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.
- Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
- For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.
- The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
- He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? - Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
- What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?
- Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
- And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
- What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him? - What is desired in a man is kindness,
And a poor man is better than a liar. - What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
- For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
- So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
- Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
- Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
- He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him. - In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me?
