  • As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
  • For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.
  • I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.
  • Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.
  • You being enriched in everything for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.
  • But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
  • “Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him.
  • Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
  • Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth,
before the evil days come, and the years draw near,
when you will say, “I have no pleasure in them.”
  • When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

  • I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
  • I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live. Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.
  • Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
  • The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent.
  • A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;

  • Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!”
  • Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
  • Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. The Lord added to the assembly day by day those who were being saved.
