| But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. | But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.” |

| Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. | You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. |
| Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. | Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. |
| Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. | Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send, receives Me; and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. |
| But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. | But the one who boasts is to boast in the Lord. For it is not the one who commends himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. |
| Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. | And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. |
| He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. | One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord. |
| Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. | Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. |
| For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. | For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. |
| He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. | The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. |
| But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. | But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. |
| But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. | But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. |
| A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. | It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. |
| Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. | Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. |
| And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. | And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. |
| Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. | Because I saved the poor who cried for help, And the orphan who had no helper. The blessing of the one who was about to perish came upon me, And I made the widow’s heart sing for joy. |
| But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. | But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. |
| There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. | No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. |
| Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. | Open your mouth for the people who cannot speak, For the rights of all the unfortunate. |
| Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. | Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who wait for the Lord. |
| And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great. | And He said to them, “Whoever receives this child in My name receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great.” |
| And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. | And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. |
| I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. | I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance. |
