- Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. - Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
- Honor widows who are widows indeed.
- Those who know your name will put their trust in you,
for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.”
- One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city. - Who “will pay back to everyone according to their works.”
- He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- They said to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts.” These are those who cause divisions and are sensual, not having the Spirit.
- Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
- But he who endures to the end will be saved.
- Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted. - Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.
- But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
- You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
- This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
- Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil,
but joy comes to the promoters of peace. - Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse.
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
- Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
