| Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” | Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. |
| And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful! | And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. |

| And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. | Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. |
| You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live. | Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. |

| Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave. | The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. |
| Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. All your male and female servants must rest as you do. | Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. | For God is not unjust. | All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. |
| Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. | Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. |
| And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. | And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. |
| I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. | He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? |
| Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. | And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. |
| He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is! | He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. |
| God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. | Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. |
