| Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. | Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. |
| So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. | Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. |

| I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules. | I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. |
| To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. | Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. |
| And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. | And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
| But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. | But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. |
| While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” | As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. |
| And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. | For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” | For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
| How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. | How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? |
| Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. | Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. |
| Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. | Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. | But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. | But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. |
