Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles. But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him and have seen him.If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.”For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
