Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die. But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.”For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”
He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
