| And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ | And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
| For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” | For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” |

| Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” | But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” |
| Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. | For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. |
| Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” | So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.” |
| Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. | But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. |
| Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. | Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. |
| Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. | Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. |
| The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. | He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good. |
| It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows. | It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows. |
| Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. | Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil. |
| Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. | If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. |
