Bible Verses about 'Build your church'

  • And I say to you: You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld will not prevail against it.

  • Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her in order to sanctify her by cleansing her with water and the word.
  • Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior.
  • He is the head of the body,
    that is, the Church.
    He is the beginning,
    the firstborn from the dead,
    so that in every way
    he should be supreme.
  • Meanwhile, the Church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, building up strength and living in the fear of the Lord. Encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers.

    through all generations,
    forever and ever. Amen.
  • Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.

They would break bread in their homes and share their food with joyful and generous hearts as they praised God, and they were regarded with favor by all the people. And day by day the Lord added to those who were being saved.
  • Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ.

teach me your paths.

So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do.
