- I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,
and hath founded his troop in the earth;
he that calleth for the waters of the sea,
and poureth them out upon the face of the earth:
The Lord is his name. - Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.Next verse!With image
