- I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein. - Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,
and hath founded his troop in the earth;
he that calleth for the waters of the sea,
and poureth them out upon the face of the earth:
The Lord is his name. - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
- The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.Next verse!With image
