- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
- In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will frown on you no longer,
for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more. - Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. - On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
- “Come now, let us settle the matter,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.” - Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
- But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
- You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. - Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
- Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.”
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.Next verse!With image
