Bible Verses about 'Gossip'
- Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets,
but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered. - A dishonest man spreads strife,
and a whisperer separates close friends. - The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;
they go down into the inner parts of the body. - He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend. - Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
- With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
and whoever utters slander is a fool. - Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
- Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
- Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking deceit. - A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. - And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
- To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.
- And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

- Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
- Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
- Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
