Hear (2/2)

  • I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
  • While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
  • If you will not listen, if you will not lay it to heart to give glory to my name, says the Lord of hosts, then I will send the curse on you and I will curse your blessings; indeed I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart.
  • Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.
  • But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
    nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him”
  • As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
  • And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.
  • If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one.
