Chinese (traditional)- He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
- For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
- But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! - But in my distress I cried out to the Lord;
yes, I prayed to my God for help.
He heard me from his sanctuary;
my cry to him reached his ears. - Sing praises to God and to his name!
Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds.
His name is the Lord—
rejoice in his presence!
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—
this is God, whose dwelling is holy. - Can he walk on hot coals
and not blister his feet? - A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- Those who control their tongue will have a long life;
opening your mouth can ruin everything. - Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.
- I am counting on the Lord;
yes, I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in his word. - Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.
- John’s clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. For food he ate locusts and wild honey.
- He personally carried our sins
in his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right.
By his wounds
you are healed. - The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens,
while its foundation is on the earth.
He draws up water from the oceans
and pours it down as rain on the land.
The Lord is his name! - How joyful are those who fear the Lord—
all who follow his ways! - He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
- Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - The Lord is slow to get angry, but his power is great,
and he never lets the guilty go unpunished.
He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm.
The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet. - He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is! - I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises. - He sent out his word and healed them,
snatching them from the door of death. - May the Lord bless you
and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace. - The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. - For the Lord delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. - Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts.
When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.Next verse!With image
