| Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. | Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit. | But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost. |

| Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. | If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. |
| The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. | The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. |
| For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” | For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. |
| This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. | Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. |
| You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own. | And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. |
| Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. | Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. |
| This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. | Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. |
| So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. | This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |
| Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. | Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. |
| In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. | Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. |
| Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. | For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. |
| These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. |
