I (2/4)

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.
He must become greater; I must become less.He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.
Jesus said, “I am with you for only a short time, and then I am going to the one who sent me.”But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.
‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will frown on you no longer, for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord, ‘I will not be angry forever.’O Israel, my faithless people, come home to me again, for I am merciful. I will not be angry with you forever.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!
I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.
Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”
No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.
