John 14;14 (2/4)

But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.”Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
