Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for all time.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be courageous! Be strong!
For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.For I command you today to love Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that Yahweh your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.Let brotherly love continue. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and Yahweh your God brought you out of there by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore Yahweh your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.Rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer.
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.So then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.Do the things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
