- Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,

But the righteous shows mercy and gives. - Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
- Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
- The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
