- For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day. - Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
- A fool’s lips enter into contention,
And his mouth calls for blows. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. - I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
- Put away from you a deceitful mouth,
And put perverse lips far from you. - For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - I have not departed from the commandment of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth
More than my necessary food. - He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious,
But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up. - Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die. - The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. - So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. - I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
- That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
- So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
