My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine. | My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. |
I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them. | And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. |
My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. | My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. |
He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him. | He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. |

I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue. | I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. |
I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? | The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? |
You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh. | Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. |
When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. | When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. |
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. | If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. |
Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. | Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. |
“Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul. “Therefore I will hope in him.” | The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. |
But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. | But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. |
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. | For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. |
In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. | Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. |
If you love me, keep my commandments. | If ye love me, keep my commandments. |
For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. | For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. |
In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul. | In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. |
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. | I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. |
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God. | Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. |
Listen, my son, and receive my sayings. The years of your life will be many. | Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. |
I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. | I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. |
